We are super excited for our long awaited winter line. We were hoping for this to be more of a Fall/Winter launch but COVID played a part in a few delays along the way. Shipping has been slow, products were held up, and even our own abilities to meet up were infringed upon this season. However, like many roadblocks this year, we are rolling with it! We are eager to give you a rundown on the goods plus a new partnership that we're beyond excited about.

Toques and Stickers
We launched our new toques and stickers first and hope you love them. Our toques have always been huge for the holiday season and we are already over halfway sold out! If you want want one for yourself, or to add to a Christmas stocking, grab one while you can. If you buy 2 or more toques we will even add a FREE surprise gift with your order!
We get this question often, and yes, our toques will fit some toddlers and most youth. We find age 6 and up will get you a decent fit for the little wildlings.
We completely depleted our sticker stock a few months ago so we refreshed the shop with three new designs. You can also grab one of our remaining classic logo stickers too before they are gone, as we only have a few left. You can get all 4 stickers, while supplies last, in a sticker pack for a sweet deal. These decals are good for outdoor use so go ahead and stick 'em anywhere.
New T-shirts
Our popular East West design is back again in new colour, storm. (A misty blue/grey.) You can also grab our remaining East West design in vintage black before it's gone. This is one of our staple designs and we are excited to have it back in a new colour to keep things interesting.
Good vibes only! Our new Peace, Love & the Kootz T is a bold and fun unisex style on an awesome dark teal shirt with a mauve imprint. An ode to the people of the Kootenays, the laid back lifestyle, and being proud of our roots. You can pick up a matching sticker too.
LIMITED EDITION: When we launched our online store we named this very blog you're reading "Our Neck of the Woods" as a subtle nod to the content we would be sharing. Mainly stories of our youth growing up in the Kootenays, local outdoor gems, businesses and artists we love from BC and Alberta, and an all around look at our life running our outdoor and Kootenay-inspired side hustle. So, why not create a shirt around that very same feeling? The idea of surrounding yourself with good people in the outdoors is kind of our thing. Pass the red wine and s'mores, please! The new Woods T is printed on a soft cotton blend in Pebble.

All of our super soft t-shirts are unisex. We love the casual, relaxed look of the unisex T's and they fit just a bit longer than a typical women's shirt. They look great flowing free, tucked in, or side-tied, so in our opinion, you get a more versatile style and a more true to size fit for all. Win!
Sweaters
Crop it to ya! Another exciting new product that we've wanted to do forever has finally come to fruition. It's taken us over a year to find a cropped sweater that was soft, lightweight, and fit more than one body type. These cozy hooded crops in blush and heather grey are amazing. The fit is relaxed (slightly oversized) and they look awesome styled on their own or as a layering piece. We wanted the style to work both ways for comfort and versatility. We hope this crop becomes your go-to for that next hike, the weekend Netflix marathon, the gym, the pub, the beach and beyond.
Our Kootenay Babe style has become increasingly popular and we knew that we had to do a run of our raglan crews on our favourite new shade, Harvest Gold. We love this sunny and warm colour and what an awesome way to bring some brightness to your wardrobe this winter? This laid back style fits true to size.

Seasonal Shipping
If you are hoping to purchase Kootz Collective as holiday gifts this year (thank you) we want to urge you to shop early. Unfortunately, due to COVID (yes, we're sick of saying this too!), we have already received multiple notices from Canada Post that there could be significant shipping delays and they have cancelled their service guarantee. Our holiday cut off is December 5. We cannot make any shipping guarantees ourselves because of the high level of uncertainty and Canada Posts' cancellation of their own service standard. We are committed to doing our best and communicating fully with our customers on any issues! Like Canada Post, our main priority is the health and safety of ourselves, our customers, and our postal workers. Please be patient with us and the system.
We do have gift cards in the online shop so if you feel crunched for time, or just aren't sure exactly what to buy for a loved one, these are always a great option. Gift cards are sent out digitally as well, so no waiting for the mail! Shop gift cards here.
Partnership Announcement
We are very excited to announce our new partnership with Friends of Kootenay Lake Stewardship Society (FOLKSS). We will be collecting a percentage of all sales at KootzCollective.com to go towards this special organization. Every Kootz Collective item you buy will play a small role in the conservation of Kootenay Lake.
FOLKSS is dedicated to the stewardship and protection of the lake through wildlife monitoring programs, lake education, lake planning, and shoreline restoration. Our brand is built upon our Kootenay roots and Kootenay Lake is a huge part of our family’s life and history. Help us become part of the solution in protecting this essential ecosystem for generations to come!

Not only are these giveaways fun for us to host, but we hope we can potentially expose you to a new maker, artist, or service provider that you fall in love with and will choose to support somehow in the future.
Supporting small businesses is easier than ever thanks to the internet. It's not always about dollars going to the business (though of course that helps!) but simply being encouraging and positive on their social channels, blogs and websites can do a lot. Comment and share their social content, add a personal note to a blog post you enjoyed, share it with your friends, or link it to your own blog or website. Leaving a positive review for products and services you love on a business Facebook page or website offers a significant benefit to a small business, especially ones just starting out!
